Here are some ideas for teaching grammar and word processing at the same time. The idea is to teach word processing "on the side" while teaching grammar "up front". Each exercise forces students to use a different word processing skill. (The following exercises are the creation of Vance Stevens, from an idea spawned by Tom Cobb.)

WORD DOCUMENTS WITH SONGS INSERTED AND ACTIVITIES FOR THESE

Students don' t need to be connected to the Internet for these. They open the Word document which has a song in it , they double click on the icon for the song and it opens separately. They can listen and complete the task which is in the word document as well.

WORD DOCUMENTS WITH WORDSNAKE EXERCISES
Wordsnakes are texts without punctuation , spaces, vowels or consonants. Students need to retype the text adding what is missing.As a teacher , you decide what exercise to give them.

Remember not to include the original text which would be the answerkey when giving the task to students. Save it separately

Highlights are texts which have basic or complex structures that students are asked to find and highlight in different colors.

These documents have texts that have been translated by an online translator. Oibviously there are errors as translations cannot be perfect. Neither is expected from students to make them perfect buy only to improve them where vocabulary or grammar structures need to be changed.

These documents have a listening inserted , that is , students click on the listening icon in the document and the audio file opens separately. Students can then answer the questions in the listening as they listen , pause or play the audio.
 

WORD DOCUMENTS WITH A VIDEO LINKED OR INSERTED AND A TASK TO COMPLETE
These are Word documents with several exercises for a video.Some of the documents DO have the video inserted so you DON'T need Internet connection to complete the activity. Other documents have a link to the video so you NEED to be connected to the Internet to complete the activity.

But pay attention as some of the documents DO have the video inserted in the document so NO Internet connection is needed
